Who we are

Moonspace AI is a research tool for mobile app teams. It shows which public creators post about apps on TikTok and Instagram, so a team can see how apps in its market grow. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

We only look at public accounts and public posts that mention a mobile app. For those accounts we keep:

  • the account handle, platform user id and a small copy of the profile picture;
  • public counts: followers, following, likes and posts;
  • links to public posts about an app, their posting date, their public view, like, comment and share counts, and a short caption excerpt with email addresses removed;
  • short evidence phrases of at most 100 characters that show why we link an account to an app, such as a hashtag or the words "Couple Joy content";
  • language and region codes that the platform shows for an account or post.

What we do not collect

  • private accounts, direct messages or anything behind a login;
  • full bios, display names, email addresses, phone numbers or comments;
  • videos, photos (other than the small profile picture) or face data.

Where the data comes from

The data comes from public TikTok and Instagram pages, read through a third-party data provider. To decide whether a bio names an app, we may send the public bio text to an AI model provider. Email addresses are removed first, and the provider may not keep the text.

Why we use it and on what basis

We use the data to show app teams which creators post about apps in their market and how those posts perform. Our legal basis is legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): market research on public, commercial posts about apps. We do not use the data to contact creators on behalf of others, to build advertising profiles, or to make decisions about individuals.

Who receives it

Moonspace AI customers see the handles, public counts and posts linked to the apps they track. Our hosting, storage and AI providers process the data on our behalf. We do not sell the data.

How long we keep it

Evidence that links an account to an app is removed 12 months after we last saw it, and an account with no remaining link is deleted. Accounts we decide are not relevant are deleted 30 days later.

Your rights

If you are a creator, you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it. Write to [email protected] from the account's linked email, or tell us the handle and platform. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
